Under My Nails
I'm Kim Seelinger, a Michigan State University Master Gardener (certified 2002) and the founder of Great Gardens North. My path to landscape design started in retail greenhouses, wound through managing public spaces, and led me to creating breathtaking private garden retreats across Michigan.
What sets me apart is simple — I've done every bit of this myself. I've dug the beds, selected the plants, and watched ideas bloom from paper plans into living sanctuaries. I don't just design. I coach, I teach, and I get my hands dirty right alongside you.
When I'm not in a garden, you'll find me skiing Michigan's slopes (and teaching skiing!), cycling backroads, or finding new ways to stay connected to the natural world. That adventurous energy flows into every garden I touch.
